MEDIA RELEASE

EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST OPEN FOR 2022-23 VOLUNTEER GRANTS

Expressions of Interest for the 2022-23 Volunteer Grants are now open for not-for-profits in Canning.

The program makes available up to $66,225 for eligible local organisations in Canning to support the work of their volunteers.

Grants of between $1,000 and $5,000 are available and can be used to buy small equipment for volunteers or for the reimbursement of volunteer fuel, transport or training costs.

Federal Member for Canning, the Hon Andrew Hastie MP, said volunteers play an important role in assisting our community.

“The Volunteer Grants program is a fantastic initiative that supports the efforts of our hard-working volunteers, and also encourages volunteering,” he said.

“I strongly encourage all eligible not-for-profits that are interested in applying to complete an Expression of Interest form and return it to my office.”

Before submitting an EOI, please ensure that both your organisation and nominated project meet the eligibility criteria outlined in the guidelines.

EOIs will be assessed by an independent local advisory committee and based on their recommendations, selected organisations will be nominated to apply.

EOI forms are available to download here. Alternatively, please get in touch with Mr Hastie’s office on (08) 9534 8044 or [email protected].

Expressions of Interest close 5pm, Friday 7 October 2022.
