Foreign Minister Marise Payne gave an excellent speech last night, articulating Australia's role as a democratic regional power.

We're committed to deepening our positive relationships with our neighbours. But the Minister was firm Australia would fight disinformation campaigns from authoritarian states like China and Russia.

It's a great example of how Australia is setting boundaries in our strategic partnerships.
