Round 7 of Stronger Communities Program Now Open

Organisations across Canning are invited to express their interest in Round 7 of the Commonwealth Government’s Stronger Communities Program.

Through the Program, eligible community organisations can apply for a grant between $2,500 and $20,000 to fund small capital works or expenditure projects that deliver social benefits to our communities.

The Program has previously supported a range of organisations in Canning, including:

  • Byford Kindergarten
  • Preston Beach Community Garden
  • Roleystone Tee-Ball and Baseball Club
  • Mandurah Southern Districts Volunteer Bush Fire Brigade

As in Round 6, grant funding will be up to 100 per cent of eligible project costs, except for local governing bodies where grant funding will be up to 50 per cent of eligible project costs.

Expression of Interest forms are now available for download here or collected from Mr Hastie's office. EOIs must be submitted by December 8, 2021. Successful expressions of interest will be nominated to formally apply for funding, with applications closing on January 19, 2022.

Each electorate has total funding of up to $150,000 that can be allocated to successful applications. A maximum of 20 projects will be funded in each electorate. For more information, please visit business.gov.au/stronger-communities-programme-round-7
