Expressions of Interest for Stronger Communities Programme

Expression of Interest Deadline Extended to Thursday, 11 February 2021

Community organisations in Canning are invited to submit expressions of interest for Round 6 of the Stronger Communities Programme.

The Programme encourages local participation and supports projects that contribute to vibrant communities. Eligible community organisations can apply for a grant between $2,500 and $20,000 to fund small capital works or expenditure projects that deliver social benefits to our communities.

The Programme has previously supported a diverse range of organisations in Canning, including:

  • Halls Head Croquet Club
  • Pinjarra Men’s Shed
  • Quindanning Picnic Race Day Club
  • Pickering Brook Heritage Group

Round 6 of the Programme will continue to support Australia’s economic recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.  For this round, grant funding will be up to 100 per cent of eligible project costs, except for local governing bodies where grant funding will be up to 50 per cent of eligible project costs.

Expression of Interest forms are now available for download here or collected from Mr Hastie's office. EOIs must be submitted by 11th February 2021. Successful expressions of interest will be nominated to formally apply for funding, with applications closing on 22nd March.

Each electorate nationwide has received $150,000 to allocate towards successful projects, with a maximum of 20 projects to be funded per electorate. More information can be found at https://www.business.gov.au/grants-and-programs/stronger-communities-programme.
