MORE INDUSTRY BAILOUTS UNDER LABOR

Senator Ayres says he is “backing Australian industry.” Australian industry doesn’t need another study. It needs cheap and reliable baseload power.

Labor’s radical energy policies have kneecapped these smelters, and now the Minister wants a pat on the back for helping them limp along.

Whyalla, Tomago, Boyne, Glencore and now Nyrstar again – Australia’s industrial base is being bailed out one plant at a time, because Labor’s energy policies have made it almost impossible to run heavy industry in this country.

That's not a Future Made in Australia. It is a managed decline. Who benefits? China.
